What is Puppy Power 4-H?

Puppy Power 4-H is a unique 4-H group whose members either train puppies for Canine Companions for Independence (CCI) or have an assistance dog. Puppy Power 4-H is categorized under the "Service Dog Project" opposed to the regular "Dog Project." Puppy Power's members range from age 5-18 and every single person is completely different, yet we all get along perfectly and are one happy family.

What is 4-H?

4-H is a youth organization run by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) with the mission of "engaging youth to reach their fullest potential while advancing the field of youth development." 4-H develops responsibility, confidence, skills, leadership and citizenship. The 4 "H"s stand for Head, Heart, Hands and Health.

What is CCI?

Canine Companions for Independence is a non-profit organization that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs and ongoing support to ensure quality partnerships.
